Speaker
Cheryl weaves examples of her life in the topics she speaks so listeners can visualize their opportunities to learn and grow. As a two time breast cancer survivor and previous executive of a breast cancer foundation she brings a perspective to her speaking engagements that focus on professional and family life. She shapes her talks based on the audience and artfully prepares participants to self reflect and personalize the message to understand their own experiences and address their own needs.
Community Organizer/Advocate
For years Cheryl worked in the nonprofit sector and as a volunteer advocate to bring awareness to breast cancer disparities in underserved communities and the importance of early detection. She developed advocacy campaigns to educate minority women about their breast cancer mortality rates and resources to support prevention, diagnosis and treatment. Her work has supported increased funding for breast cancer screening and awareness at the state and federal level.
