Random breast cancer thoughts during and after treatment!

We all have them. We meaning those who are diagnosed with breast cancer, going through treatment and even years after treatment. I know I still do so thought I would write them down. They change daily, but writing them is therapeutic. Try it and pleas share!

  • Life without a bra.

  • Doing one pull up.

  • Seeing your hair grow back.

  • Checking on how my chest looks.

  • Putting on clothes to leave the house in.

  • Putting on clothes post op.

  • Feeling good without meds.

  • What size do I wear now?

  • Experiencing. a week that kicks my butt from side effects.

  • Grateful for people who really understand.

  • My skin itches like hell.

  • Counting days pre-op, post-op, treatment.

  • Learning to love ourselves as we are.

  • Celebrating holidays in a very different way.

  • Tricks to getting a good night’s sleep

  • Our own language with abbreviations galore, e.g., DMX, BRCA, HER2,

  • Drains will be the death of me.

  • Last day of chemo.

  • Stages, hormones and protein blockers.

  • Good days and bad days.

  • Treatment regimens from chemo, radiation, lymph nodes, expanders, targeted therapy.

  • Grades and stages.

  • Cancer free…for now!

  • Brain fog.
